Prayer for Peace 13/07/2025

God, we trust you and we put our confidence in you. As we look out at this world so full of conflict and disruption, violence and chaos, let us be rooted in you and let the waters of your peace flow out to all who are experiencing conflict.

We pray that your people would be like trees planted by streams of water. We do not fear when heat comes. We do not fear when violence erupts around us. Instead, may our leaves always be green. May we always bear fruit. By your grace, may we stand firm. By your grace may peace come. Amen.

Prayer for Peace 06/07/2025

O God of all hope and peace, we bring to you the needs of our broken and hurting world.
Our hearts are breaking with images of lives lost and torn apart by grief in Israel and Palestine, Ukraine and other war torn countries.
We pray for an end to violence and warfare so that the challenging work of rebuilding may begin.
Help us, O Lord, to affirm our common humanity so that in our differences we may build together for justice and peace.
In Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen.

De-escalation, Dialogue and Diplomacy

God, help us.

Help us in our madness.

We work for de-escalation with offensive strikes.

We call for dialogue by active aggression.

We seek to force diplomacy by unabashed threats and hostility.

We sue for peace with attacks.

In the midst of such extraordinary hypocrisy,

How can we find peace?

Yet, it is peace that we pray for.

Wake us in your way.

Make peace our priority.

Bring all into metanoia,

A changing of heart, mind and being,

That really results in de-escalation, dialogue and diplomacy,

Which brings real peace.

We pray for peace.

We pray for peace.

Amen.

Prayer for Peace 22/6/2025

Prayer for Peace 22/06/2025 Holy Spirit come, guide us towards the way of peace. Lead us to build God’s kingdom here on earth. Set our hearts ablaze with a fire for justice. Strengthen us in our mission to follow the path that God leads us toward. I pray for hope, I pray for kindness, I pray for justice. I pray for all these things as I pray for peace. In Jesus’s name I pray. Amen

Prayer for Peace 15/6/2025

God of peace and justice, I turn to You today with a heavy heart, overwhelmed by the division and unrest that distances us from each other–and from You. Soften the hearts of those who see their brother as “other”. Remind us all that you call us to live in harmony with each other. May pride never overtake us. May we live to serve, putting others before ourselves. God, may Your peace reign now and forever. Amen.

Prayer for Peace 08/06/2025
Heavenly Father, you created the earth, the sun, and all of the life
that dwells here as part of your creation. I pray that your Holy Spirit
may move the hearts of all of Your children toward a radical form of
peace that rejects violence and oppression. I understand, o Lord, that
conflicts have existed for centuries and can seem impossibly
complex and without hope. However, You are a God of peace and
healing. Through You, all things are possible. Heal our world. May
Your Kingdom come. Amen.

Prayer for Peace 01/06/2025

In peace let us pray to the Lord.

We pray for the leaders of the nations,
that you will guide them in the ways of freedom, justice and truth.
Lord, in your mercy
hear our prayer.

We pray for those who bear arms on behalf of the nation,
that they may have discipline and discernment,
courage and compassion.
Lord, in your mercy
hear our prayer.

We pray for our enemies, and those who wish us harm,
that you will turn the hearts of all to kindness and friendship.
Lord, in your mercy
hear our prayer.

We pray for the wounded and the captive,
the grieving and the homeless,
that in all their trials they may know your love and support.
Lord, in your mercy
hear our prayer.

Most holy God and Father,
hear our prayers for all who strive for peace
and all who fight for justice.
Help us, who today remember the cost of war,
to work for a better tomorrow;
and, as we commend to you lives lost in terror and conflict,
bring us all, in the end, to the peace of your presence;
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

O God of all hope and peace, we bring to you the needs of our broken and hurting world.
Our hearts are breaking with images of lives lost and torn apart by grief in Israel and Palestine/Gaza, in Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan, Sudan, Myanmar and other countries at war.
We pray for an end to violence and warfare so that the challenging work of rebuilding may begin.
Help us, O Lord, to affirm our common humanity so that in our differences we may build together for justice and peace.
In Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer for Peace 18/05/2025

Dear Father of all, help us to see the world through your eyes, without dividing lines, to see just land and water, mountains, trees and skies. Help us to lay aside our class and skin, our background and race, to know our shared humanity, to see a brother or sister in every face. Help us to wear forgiveness, to lay down our pride and pain, to seek first to understand, Lord may peace and reconciliation reign. Help us to feel your compassion so we can freely forgive. May we weave new threads of grace and cause seeds of hope to live. Help us to play our own small part, with acts of kindness and of care. May we arise as your children and seek out what is just and fair. Cause us to make new bonds of trust with neighbours near and far, and so to fashion a world where peace comes to Earth in this hour. Prayer for Peace 11/05/2025

God of peace and love, we humbly ask for your guidance and strength. We see the darkness of violence and hatred in the world, and feel the pain it causes. Help us to see the suffering of others and to extend compassion, even to those who seem far away. Fill our hearts with your love and understanding, so that we may become instruments of peace and reconciliation. Give us the courage to speak out against injustice and to stand for what is right. May your light shine brightly in the world, banishing the darkness of hatred and violence, and may peace and love prevail. We pray this in your name. Amen.
